Willie and Marilyn have been animal lovers and enthusiasts together since their marriage in the mid 1960’s. Beginning with our first mixed breed dog, Rusty, there followed a mix of many species of companion animals, including a pet raccoon, a pet fox, Siamese cats, and Quarter Horses. Our first AKC registered dog was a Dachshund, Lady; then came a Miniature Poodle, Janda. In 1984, we purchased our first Ridgeback and started showing in conformation shows in 1986. In 1989, we branched out to German Shorthaired Pointers and in 1994, we got our first Whippet .

Both of us have full time 'REAL' jobs. Marilyn has recently accepted a job as Accounting Manager for the Office of Institutional Advancement at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, TX. Willie is an Application Specialist at FMC Technologies in Stephenville.  Marilyn has always enjoyed and taken the lead in the actual conformation exhibiting and obedience trials with the dogs, while Willie is chauffeur, show assistant, holder, kennel manager, and field trainer and (sometime) exhibitor. Willie serves well as the rudder and judge of progress toward established goals in our breeding program and show activities.  Willie has also demonstrated his building and design skill in the construction of our dog kennels and exercise areas.

Marilyn has, in the past, taught beginning obedience classes, puppy kindergarten classes, and conformation handling classes in our hometown of Stephenville, Texas.  In addition, Marilyn has trained and shown dogs in conformation, always offering these services to buyers of our own show potential puppies at no charge. Marilyn has recently been approved by the American Kennel Club to judge German Shorthaired Pointers and Rhodesian Ridgebacks in conformation shows.  Plans for the future are to pursue application to judge additional breeds in both the Hound and Sporting groups.
